This is a list of hot runner's items that I currently do not own, need to own or wish I would own! Enjoy!
are number one on my "Wish" list, but I'd gladly buy any of the older series shoes if I could find them for less. Any of the older series shoes are definitely on my "Need" list. The 2150's are the newest in the 2000 which I've been wearing since the late 90's. I LOVE this shoe. I love this shoe so much I'm afraid to wear anything else for fear of injuries! I recently found out that I probably should be wearing a size 8 instead of 7.5 and am excited to move up that half a size to see if I could feel even more comfortable in my running shoes. I have noticed that my toe sometimes hits the end of the shoe. Can you believe I was a 6.5/7 before pregnancy and my foot has just gotten bigger and bigger with each pregnancy!?!? I can't believe it myself. One more reason to be done!
Before I fell in love with Asics I was a Nike girl. I loved the Pegasus! However, after a PT told me I needed a more structured shoe like the 2000 series in Asics I never looked back...Until now! I am in love with the new
is a new name to my wish list. I have my eye on the 405 CX. I currently wear a Nike band to track my pace and miles but I am often left thinking about how inaccurate it might be. I also can't stand that there is no backlight on my Nike band. How am I supposed to run at night??? There are a ton of great accessory options too!
I think anyone living in the Midwest who runs year round needs a pair of these Yak Trax! This year I started training in January and it was brutal! I wish I had these puppies to help me get through the winter.
isn't a must, but it IS cute! It would go great with another item that is on my "Want" list, a running skirt!
are an amazing concept! In college I used to HAVE to run in bun huggers. They were part of our uniform. Always having had a more curvier bottom half than most others, I quickly realized that they were AWESOME to run in because they eliminated that "bunched" up short that you end up running with between your legs from your thighs rubbing. Despite having to run in them in public, they were very comfortable! Chaffing was eliminated by using some body glide or deodorant and voila, a great running experience. So, what is my point? Well what do you think is underneath these skirts??? BUN HUGGERS!!! Why couldn't they have invented these when I was in college??? You can also get them with the option of having bike shorts underneath if you like, I want one of each to see which I like best!
Here are my favorite styles:
Last on my list are...
or VFF's. I definitely would get the KSO's if I were to buy these shoes. I would love these for trekking in my local forest preserves, doing a yoga or Pilate's class in them and possibly running someday. I have a lot of fear and reservations about it though. I tend to want to push myself a little too far out there and realize I've over done it way too late. Here is what I recently wrote to a friend about them:
...I like the way the Sprint looks the best but I think if I ever purchased a pair it would be the KSOs (in grey/fuscia). I'm nervous about trying them BECAUSE of my foot problems. I worry that I'll worsen my plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, tendinitis in my knees and achilles and I also have bouts with 5th metatarsal pain from playing volleyball. Geez! When did all this happen to me??? I've never made a list, but looking at it now I'm just in total disbelief of how long it has gotten.
With all that said, I have also read that one of the main ways to treat all of my foot pains IS buy going barefoot and using a simple shoe like the VFF's. Believe me, I've been thinking about it for about 3 years now. I've been afraid because believe it or not bruising or straining tendons, fascia, and muscles can actually take LONGER to heal than a broken bone. I am shocked that I'm not dealing with the plantar fasciitis right now since it has been pretty chronic in the last 10 years and I don't want to risk that coming back. I dealt with the the 5th metatarsal pain for almost an entire year as it only just cleared up around March and started last May at the start of volleyball.
I'd love to join you to try them on. I doubt I'd get the nerve to buy them though. I need a new pair of running shoes first!
I'm not much of a shopper, but when I like things they tend to be pretty specific and usually expensive. When I go back to work I think I'm going to have a new philosophy about shopping. I'm going to spoil myself a little more often when I can!
If there is a must have item you think I should add to my list, PLEASE leave a comment!

I think you need to update this last as you now currently own a couple of things on the list. Lucky you ;)
